Loyola recognises the importance of ICT as both a tool for learning in a modern school and a tool for success in a modern working world.

With this premise in mind, we focus on helping pupils to gain important computer skills starting at a young age. The school is well-equipped with a computer suite, as well as enough laptops to enable pupils from Key Stage 1 upwards to have access to one laptop per child. This allows learning to be supported using technology across a wide range of subjects.

By the time pupils leave Loyola, they are proficient in a variety of programs including Word, Excel, First Logo and PowerPoint. They are also taught how to use the internet and email safely.

Upper school pupils are offered the opportunity to improve their word processing and keyboard skills in computer club during lunchtimes.
