PE and Games

All pupils take part in timetabled PE lessons from the age of three. These take place using the school's gymnastics hall, its playing field, its hard court and facilities elsewhere.

Sports coached both in curricular and extra curricular time include association football, rugby union, athletics (at Ashton Playing Fields), cricket, cross country and badminton. Most lessons are taught by specialist PE staff including a former professional footballer and qualified FA Coach.

The school prides itselg on offering a range of competitive sports. The main sport is football and we also offer rugby, cricket, cross country, running, athletics, badminton and swimming. Swimming is coached to both beginners and experienced swimmers through an intensive three-term swimming course at the Loughton Swimming Pool when boys are eight (Elements year).Rugby is introduced as a curricular sport in Prep.

Competition against other schools is encouraged from Under-9 level and includes fixtures in football, rugby, cricket, athletics, cross country and swimming. We also offer extra-curricular football and rugby.
