Settling in at school and transition

At Loyola we understand that feeling safe, secure and happy at school is essential in order for boys to reach their potential. There are a number of different ways that we help pupils to settle in well with us.

For boys starting at the age of three, parents are invited to attend the school with their son in the term prior to starting to meet the teacher and become familiar with the school environment.

An induction morning also takes place for parents and pupils starting in all classes from Reception 1 upwards. Parents are invited to a talk from the Headmaster whilst their sons spend time with their new classmates.

For all boys currently at Loyola the Summer term is used to introduce them to their new teacher and discuss plans and expectations for the coming academic year.
